Manifesto
Trades company since 2012
We are a small studio-workshop based in Buenos Aires, founded in 2012 by Manu Garzarón and currently co-directed by Victoria Sato.
We design and produce unique backpacks and accessories in small batches, which allows us to maintain the highest level of attention to detail. We use materials that are durable and age well, and we work with the help of the most talented leather craftsmen.
It is (almost) all produced under the same roof of our studio, located in the quiet neighborhood of Saavedra, in Buenos Aires.
Our principles
Less is more
As Antoine de Saint-Exupery said, “the designer knows that he has reached perfection not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing more to take away”. There is nothing in our products that has no reason to be.
The best product
There is no shortcut to excellence, and that is the hard road we have been traveling since we started. And while perfection isn't possible, we're so focused on quality that we offer a lifetime guarantee.
The least impact
When we choose the materials we work with, and the manufacturing processes, we put a lot of effort into choosing those that have the least impact on people and our planet. Examples of this are prioritizing recycled over new, like our Sailors® collection, minimizing plastics, choosing vegetable-tanned leathers over chrome leathers, and dyeing our canvases with water-based inks. But since we know that this is not enough, we are one of the first 10 Argentine companies to certify 1% For the Planet, through which we donate 1% of our income to local organizations such as Germinar and Banco de Bosques.
Argentinian tradition
We believe that our country has a very rich cultural identity, and our products are our humble tribute to the legacy of the trades.
